Ward off Colds and Flu with "The Lemonade"

Mom:  They're saying this is the worst cold and flu season in 10 years.
Angelique:  To which we replied, "Good thing we've got our lemonade."
Mom:  You've heard of it.  Lemons, cayenne pepper and maple syrup also known as the Lemonade Diet.
Angelique:  You know that thing Beyonce did to lose weight for Dreamgirls.
Mom:  But what Hollywood didn't tell you is that the Lemonade Diet is way better at fighting colds, flu and illness than it is at keeping you thin.  And you don't have to fast for 10 days to see the benefits.
Angelique:  During the winter, we always keep a gallon of it made.  Instead of OJ in the morning, we grab a hot or cold glass of lemonade.  And then another at bed time.   Now ask mom how many times she's had the flu in the past 20 years.  Ask her.
Mom:  3 times!  That cayenne pepper will literally knock the snot right out of you.
Angelique:  That is so nasty Ma.  But it's true. It also revs up the the metabolism.
Mom:  Just make sure you invest in the good stuff.  Go to the local health food store and get the loose cayenne pepper that is 90 HU (90,000 Heat Units).

How to Make "The Lemonade" - Per Glass
  1. 2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice (approximately ½ lemon)
  2. 2 tablespoons Grade B genuine maple syrup (not maple flavored sugar syrup)
  3. 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper (red pepper) or to taste
  4. Water, medium hot (spring or purified water)

Combine the juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper in a 10-ounce glass and fill with medium hot water. (Cold water may be used if preferred.)  Use fresh lemons or limes only, never canned lemon or lime juice nor frozen lemonade or frozen juice.  Use organic lemons or limes when possible. 

One Gallon

96 ounces spring water
12 ounces lemon juice (approximately 6 medium size lemons)
12 ounces genuine maple syrup {grade B (grade A is acceptable)}
½ - 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste



PURPOSE:
  • To dissolve and eliminate toxins and congestion that have formed in any part of the body
  • To cleanse the kidneys and the digestive system
  • To purify the glands and cells throughout the entire body      
  • To eliminate all unusable waste and hardened material in the joints and muscles
  • To relieve pressure and irritation in the nerves, arteries, and blood vessels
  • To build a healthy blood stream
  • To keep youth and elasticity regardless of our years
