Adobo - Latin American Seasoning

 Adobo Seasoning
Yields 1½ Cups

Adobo is an all-purpose seasoning used in Latin American cuisines. I use adobo like many people use Lawry’s seasoned salt.  Adobo is packed with a lot of flavor minus all the sodium, Tricalcium Phosphate and Oleoresin you find in Lawry’s.
Store bought Adobo Seasoning's #1 ingredient is sodium and as good as it may taste, it lacks the pizazz of this homemade version.
So remember, whatever you use Lawry's Seasoned Salt on, try using this homemade Adobo seasoning along with a little sea salt instead.

¼ cup black peppercorns
¼ cup cumin
¼ cup granulated onion
¼ cup parsley
¼ cup granulated garlic
1 tablespoon thyme
1 tablespoon oregano
2 tablespoons sage
1 tablespoon turmeric

Place peppercorns and cumin in a grinder or blender, process until granular, add remaining ingredients, and continue processing until thoroughly mixed.
Store in an airtight container up to 6 months.
